There is a lot there if you google, simard brault, but I can’t read french, and the english stuff is old.

If you google Eric Simard in sponsorship testimony you get some interesting pointers to BDC history.
He was the BDC lawyer who led the raids on Beaudoin. Among other things.

Warren Kinsella is a turkey. Too bad he doesn’t have the cojones to invite comments. Kate I assumed from your post that the issue was with people attacking their rescuers, it takes a nasty mind to spin that like Kinsella did.
I guess the real motive is to discredit all Conservatives, as well as our forums, in any way possible. He must be worried.

WK is an attack dog, read his book and you’ll understand his approach. Sounds like you figured it out though.
There is enough in his comments that is true, i.e. Kate’s site name, her occupation to give a spinmaster a platform to riff off of. Lots of rhetoric, the most bothersome one would likely be the references to Neo Nazi’s….borders on the libellous in my opinion; but in the long run why worry about the Ventriloquist’s dummy.
He words remind me of Elsworth Toowey. I find it a big stretch to accept that he believes for a second that you are (a) a neo-nazi (b) anti-aboriginal (c) suggesting that genocide is anything but an outrageous crime. Now if he does not truly believe these things of you, but is publishing them anyway, he is amplifying my conviction that the Liberals will say anything to achieve their objective of attaining power. Power at any cost. Even to one’s integrity. He must really think you are hurting the cause to find it necessary to disgorge such a vitriolic tirade.

I remember there was a fella named Kinsella that wrote real funny stories about the Indians on the reserve near Ponoka..The Fence post Chronicles.
Those Indians were always making fools of the RCMP and other government folks.
Last I herd was something about him talking up a Chinese lady that used to be a child prostitute. Then she dumped him to become an actress. And he went for a walk one night and was knocked over by somebody backing out of there garage. He hit the back of his head on the sidewalk, had short term memory problems and lost his ability to write. I
I sure hope this ain’t him because he don’t write so funny anymore.
But if it is how come he don’t write some funny stories about clever Africans outwitting the UN folks? Then he could donate a portion of the precedes to help them fight their dreaded disease
Kinsella is the former aide to Jean Chretien and David Dingwall who recommended to the deputy minister that Chuck Guite be hired to take care of the money spent on advertising in public works….
Chuck Guite is the only public official facing criminal charges in the sponsorship scandal.
Why Kinsella wastes his time on me is anyone’s guess. I’m not even a member of the Conservative party, much less a politician… though if he keeps it up, I’ll be tempted to take out a Liberal party memberhsip.

It says something about the character of people like Kinsella that he’s not hiding under a rock in light of the dreck that’s emerging from Gomery.
But ultimately, you have to blame the Canadian voters for allowing Kinsella et al to run amok in this country. We spent so much time puffed up in smug contempt of Americans that we forgot to keep an eye on the scoundrels in Ottawa.
You can only hope that this last of a long line of scandals will wake the electorate up.

I wouldn’t waste any breath on Mr. Kinsella. He can squirm and spin and rant all he likes. No matter how teflon coated he thinks he might be, he ain’t going to be able to get the tar off this time.
Hopefully he will spazz totally and blow something out in his vitals.
I haven’t been able to check previous testimony but there is an Alain Simard who might fit the bill. He runs Spectra, which is a booking agency or some such and it’s apparently related to many high profile events such as the Montreal International Fireworks Festival and The Montreal Jazz Festival as well as musical acts in Montreal and Toronto, etc.. I didn’t think it was worth mentioning until I read a story about Alain Renaud’s testimony today which included this: “On one occasion he was lobbying Jean Chr�tien’s close friend Jacques Corriveau when Chr�tien called. “They were talking about sponsorships,” said Renaud, “something to do with small violins.” During cross-examination Renaud testified the conversation may have had to do with promoting musical acts, something he acknowledged Corriveau was involved with.

as ed says above alain simard is very http://www.montrealjazzfestival.com, with many corporate sponsers and govt partners. Has been for 25years and i think a rags to riches story .For historical background theres a video on the site.
