When I read that exchange, I can only picture Norm wearing ladies lingerie and painting his toenails. There's something so very girlie-girlie about that man, who I will now refer to, as Madame Butterfly.
Seriously, Kate: have you ever considered buying up NormanSpector.com, NormanSpector.ca etc and, like, having fun with them? The old fart clearly hasn't any use for them himself, and in my world, you snooze, you lose.
If I were dying of cancer and didn't care, I'd buy 'em myself and have a grand old time. Oh man, I can see it all now...
I like the part where he calls blolg readers stupid in polite canadain language. Funny, I read blogs and I find it odd how I am more aware of issues than most people I know. Just last weekend I explained how there was an oil for food scandal to a friend of mine. She hadn't heard. I gave her some links. I think blogs are a great way to avoid the liberal bias in the media.
Are Warren Kinsella and Norman Spector really sensitive men? They seem so to me.
I still can't make out Spector's Own Private Algorithm of Fame. He made fun of me for mentioning that I was quoted in Time magazine (which happens to be a fact; it was a story on Mary Magdalene), but now he's all "the National Post noticed me! Me, Norman Spector!!"
Now, I was just interviewed by the New York Times for a story on religion blogs. Assuming that story ever runs, do you think Norm will then be forced to acknowledge that I am his superior??
:-)
His criterion seems to be: Canadian pubs count for more "points" than world famous US pubs. Again, colour me baffled! But then, I didn't "travel to a foreign country before getting my Ph.D"!
Why this blog? Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice
of an ordinary Canadian
yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Holy hell, woman. When you
send someone traffic,

Cripes. You'd think a nationally published columnist would have better uses for his spare time.

I just sell the rope, ma'am.
(Though ET is being most helpful with the step-by-step instructions.)
Kind of off topic, but they just announced the border is staying closed to beef. Can you say thank you Mr. Martin.....bloody asshole...

I was out for dinner earlier this month, and asked my date (who's politically active, and informed) if he'd ever heard of Norman Spector.
He paused, and replied;
"He's the guy who shot his girlfriend, isn't he?"
Ref the beef - I guess nobody got the joke when you guys painted DPRK on the side of all your cows.
Yeah, Norm's the inventor of the Wall of Sound all right!
