Outside The Beltway: Google News Source

Some of the readers here know I also do a bit of blogging at James Joyner's highly respected Outside The Beltway. Earlier today I crossposted the RCMP shooting item there.

James just informed me that OTB was accepted by Google News as official news source earlier this week, and that post is the first Google news hit for OTB.

Congratulations to you, James. Well deserved.

I lived in Winnepeg 30 years ago.

My brother and I wanted to have a 'dart gun' war.

We had to drive to Bemidji to buy 'em.

Sooo, my question is WTF are Canadians doing
owning real guns?

An aside here. I was popped by a Mountie in
Moose Jaw for possession of pot. A lot of pot.
Couldn't have been nicer or more professional.

So, I am saddenned by this. I wonder, were the
growers Canadian?

Somehow I doubt it.

BTW. He drove me into MJ on a Sunday and let
my brother follow along in his car. Got to a
typical subdivision house and the Justice of the
Peace/Constable had a 'court' in his garage.

Gave me something like a 'conditional discharge'
and fined me $4.50. I kept the receipt for years.

God bless those RCMPs and their kin. I guess
you folks up there will have to knuckle down.
