An anti-American "journalist" for a Communist newspaper is allegedly "captured" by insurgents, then released. On her way out, our forces shoot 300 to 400 rounds at their car. And the result of all that firepower? One killed, three injured - none apparently very seriously. Then they treat them and send them home. Obviously all that money we've spent on training and equipment has gone to waste if our forces are performing that poorly.

It'd be kind of funny if US forces just happened to do a search somewhere, found the money and arrested Sgrena's accomplices. They'd end up in prison and what are they gonna say? "No, we're not Saddam's men - we merely faked a kidnapp - uh, never mind. How many years did you say?".
Talking to an ex US soldier today who said that armored vehicle weapons were loaded with some magnesium bullets. First, are there any pictures of the car that got shot-up? The only picture so far is the one of the car she was supposedly kidnapped from! Two: Do we know who and/or what fired at her car? Three: do you think she will allow herself to take part in any US investigation! Four: how did she get to the airport after the shooting? Lots of interesting questions. Watch the MSM get egg all over their faces!
I would say forget an investigation, just hook Sgrena to a lie detector except I've heard crazy people (and some others) have no problem lying to those machines.

There is no way that any weapons in Iraq are loaded with magnesium bullets. Magnesium is a light metal, like aluminium, and there is no point to that.
