SOTU

For those of us who don't get cable (it's true, we do exist) here is the full text of the State Of The Union address.

Wizbang is your one stop shopping center for blogger reaction, which seems to be pretty favourable. Even Kevin Drum managed some admiration of the foreign policy portion.

Democratic response: The high-tensile nature of Nancy Pelosi's face appears to be the high point.

For those of you who don't get cable, don't fret.

CBC, the source Canadians trust, cuts to the chase:

" for many Americans the proof that the president's policies are working will be when all the U.S. soldiers are back home. More than 1,400 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq and recent polls suggest public support for the U.S.-led war is sliding.

Senator Ted Kennedy says the time has passed for the soldiers to remain there. "We have long reached the point that a prolonged American military presence in Iraq is no longer productive for either Iraq or the United States," he said.

Democrat's response to the SOTU: We have old-fashioned values tOO-oo-OO-oo-OO-oo! Gee. Shucks.

Rick Richman reflects on the address, Lincoln, Iraq and WMDs with his accustomed eloquence:

I'm amazed no-one has pointed to the two funniest sentences I've seen written about the speech (from Lileks, of course):

And hello, Egypt! Welcome to the Axis of Damn Well Better Get Your Act Together!
