Monday, February 21, 2005 - When the going gets weird, The Weird turn pro. Or ventilate their crania with the faithful and fateful blast of a .44 calibre pistol. I heard about Thompson's apparent suicide last night during my Sunday evening ritual: tuning in to Matt Drudge on the AM broadcast band, and frantically searched out news links as the story developed. I'm sad over this news and the stark reality is beginning to settle in that it finally has gotten weird enough. RIP, Hunter.
