Apart from his offensive stances, he's never struck me as much of a cartoonist. I could do as well, and I'm lousy at it.

What a sad thing you are. Canada's Ann Coulter. I'm ashamed to say you breathe the same air as I. I thought only the Americans had a lock on knee-jerk hate rhetoric. Do us all a favor and move south. Immediately. You do not speak for me, nor anyone I know. Not in my name!

Ted Rall and Janeane Garofalo are not afraid to speak the truth to power. If you see no value in their efforts, then I have nothing but pity for you.

Dissent is the highest form of patriotism, but you sure wouldn't know it by listening to American Hate Radio or Christian fundie wackos who think nothing about ruining the planet because a) God wouldn't let us spoil his pretty planet, or b) we's all gonna be Raptured up anyway, and who cares about the left behind? Total insanity.

It's apparent to me that you must listen to a fair bit of it. Do Canada a favor and turn off the TV and US radio for a while. you might find you are capable of objective, critical thinking after all. I'm not holding my breath.

Word of advice. Stay away from the West Coast. There aren't too many that think like you do out here. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't feel welcome. Maybe at the Fraser Institute, but likely nowhere else.

Flatlanders. Hmph. Go figure.

Damn! Cana'da's Ann Coulter! That's heady stuff.

Though I'm not sure what it has to do with your diatribe (other than support for a nonsensical premise that respect for the military and the price they pay can only be learned at the knee of Rush Limbaugh or Foxnews)... but I don't get any American TV or radio stations. I don't feel like paying for cable, and am too far north for cross border signals.

Nor do I hold any religious beliefs (I've yet to read the Bible), so the Christian radio stations don't interest me either.

And I beg to differ, but dissent is not the highest form of patriotism. The men who took to the beaches of Normandy exhibited the highest form of patriotism. Ted Rall and Jeanine Garafalo fail the test of thinking, rational, adult human beings. Concepts like "patriotism" are simply beyond their understanding.

There is no patriotism in drawing a cartoon in a free society. Now if Ted Rall had the balls to go to Iran and draw cartoons of mullahs and stand on the street to hand them out, denouncing theocracy and oppression - and championing representative democracy and the equality of women - that would be something morally equivalent to patriotism.

But he would never do that, because, he's like, a coward and an imbecile, and well, on their side anyway.

So... bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt

You only get one more try.

No use being intelligent or rational with these people. They'd rather whore themselves to their presumed Gods and their unharnessed Corporate power. That's the problem with fascists, they think they have the answers to evertything. There's no democracy in fascism, and it (democracy) cannot be forced by sword.

Another thing: to mock a person who has served their country fighting wars that didn't belong to them is quite low. "I'm so sorry, MEIN FUHRER!" What's wrong, are you afraid that your precious country might be invaded by dirty, terrorist Islamists? Does it make you feel better to strike people down because they do not share your righteous and glorious outlook on life? Seriously, if you believe so much in the cause, sign up, put your ass on the line. Afterall, it's about fighting terrorism, right?

Your fear and ignorance is unbecoming. But it's okay. If history teaches us anything, it's that fascists never last for long.

ted rall went to afghanistan after 9/11. one night he heard a knock on his door and decided not to answer it. the corrispondent in the next room did answer and was shot to death. apparently just being there was enough...but i digress...if you think speaking out in this country doesnt take bravery, you havn't been paying attention.
many many people here who have the slightest clue about history, warfare, and the nature of our current administration,or history, and our founding father's ideals, are really f*cking scared right now. we are probably seeing the end of the american democratic experiment. we are certainly seeing the end of our empire. bad things are coming. you, kate, are a f*cking twit if you don't see it. that you would cheer lead for the motherfuckers that are destroying the country i love, makes me very angry. as a canadian you should f*cking know better. as an alleged intelligent human, you should at least swipe better arguments from your little fascist buddies. f*ck you, you f*cking asshole.

I've inserted asterisks in Willycrash's post to leave it as evidence as to why he's been banned. I have a pretty high level of tolerance for moonbattery masquerading as free speech, but don't push it, folks. Remember - I'm a fascist. -ed

One "fuck" too many, Willy. You were given fair warning - goodbye.
